I have in general not had any major problems with any of the issues addressed in the Dev blog. I honestly fully agree with what was said about the MT. My problem is what was not said.
Lets take that same analogy used with the jeans and apply it to ships. I have my ship bought with isk, the $50 ship (from my game subscription costs) and another person has their $100 ship from MT. Their ship may be better and look cooler, but I am expressing myself by not having it. Just like the current MT, I don't have to take part in that whole section of the game.
Now I really hope the MT never goes that far, but you can always use the excuse that you can choose not to take part in a section of the game. It's like opening a can of worms simlilar to when Congress decided that 'implied' powers of the constitution do apply...
Anyway, I understand CCP needs money right now, and honestly MT may be a great way to get it. But as I said, I never disagreed with the current state of MT. My problem is with many of the other things CCP has been doing.
I'm starting to feel like the MT thing is a smokescreen to downplay some of the other changes to the game. Things such as lowered functionality while in station, the underwhelming release of incarna, which while smooth contains very little of the promised content, and the developer fees.
Functionality in station is mostly just a GUI fix, that should not be to difficult. The underwhelming release of Incarna can be fixed with future releases, I just wish you had held off the release date till it was in better shape. Contrary to what seems to be popular belief, most players would rather a release date be pushed back than get a lesser product. The developer fees can be lowered to maybe 10 dollars, since I understand you want to use the fees to track usage.
Honestly, asides from the hurt feelings, and the sting of feeling lied to, everything is fixable from my standpoint. I just hope that CCP will listen to the more important points than everyone raising hell about vanity MT.
